Carrol County Historical Society  - The Historical Society in Carrol County
provides access to information relating to the county's Natural History, Settlements, Goverment, Military History, and to historical information relating to the county's Economic and Cultural development.

Carrol County Genealogy Club - The Carrol County Genealogy Club was formed in 1993. It's purpose is to research family history and to help others with their research.

Grayson County Heritage Foundation - The Grayson County Heritage Foundation has been established to promote, preserve, and educate the cultural and family heritages of Grayson County, Virginia.

New River Notes - This is Jeff Weaver's historical resouces site for the Upper New River Valley of North Carolina and Virginia.
 
Kegley Library, Wytheville Community College Library & Learning Resource Center
The F. B. Kegley Library is a special collection of local history and genealogical materials in the WCC Library. The original collection, bequeathed by F. B. Kegley in 1968, contained books, pamphlets, clippings, census reports, family papers, W. P. A. documents, newspapers, journals, and maps. Since the collection was acquired by the college, many items have been added to it including books, maps, cemetery records, microfilm copies of local newspapers, census reports, court records, photographs, and manuscripts. Additionally, the extensive collections of historians Mary B. Kegley and Dr. W. R. Chitwood, Sr. have been added.

Wythe County Genealogical & Historical Society- This website offers resources for genealogical and historical researching the Wythe County, Virginia area.

Wythe Grayson Library - The Wythe Grayson Library System provides volumes of material regarding Grayson County families, vital statics, county history, etc., as well as links to many genealogical sites.

The Virginia Center for Digital History (VCDH) - This webiste is an independent center within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Virginia. VCDH is home to a number of digital projects spanning the range of American history, from the Jamestown settlement, to the Civil War, to the Civil Rights movement.

The Library of Virginia - The Virginia state library and archives has an online catalog of material about Grayson County and surrounding counties. The site has a full catalog of over   





4,000 items that include the words "grayson county" and a microfilm listing of Grayson County records. This site also offers Out of the Box, a weekly blog that shares images, documents, and stories.

The Virginia Historical Society - Expected to be available by September, 2011, this site will offer a database of Virginia slaves names. This online database will contain personal information about enslaved Virginians gleaned from some of the more than eight million processed manuscipts in VHS collections.
The Historic Marker Database - There are countless thousands of great stories marked by markers. Many of these markers are included in this database.
Walk in Their Footsteps - Follow a soldier's footsteps using the database available in the Virginia Sesquicentennial of the Civil War Commission's interactive website. This resource can directly connect descendants with the places where their ancestors served and fought.
